Reclaiming Yourself: Healing People-Pleasing Tendencies Through Art and Creativity

Disclaimer: I want to remind you that I am not a trained therapist or mental health professional. My goal is to share my personal experiences and insights through art, offering guidance and reflection to help you along your healing journey. These videos are designed to help you explore your emotions and boundaries creatively, but they are not a substitute for professional therapy. I am simply a guide hoping to help you live your best, most empowered life.

Welcome back to a brand-new chapter of healing and creativity! This week, I’m thrilled to launch my Intuitive Healing Arts Practice, where I guide you through reflective questions to help you navigate the emotional landscapes of people-pleasing, boundaries, and self-empowerment—all while creating art.

In this series of videos, you’ll have the opportunity to either meditate while watching or paint along with me as I explore these topics. Each video offers gentle reflection to help you connect with your inner self, release limiting beliefs, and create from a place of emotional clarity.

Week 1: Healing People-Pleasing Tendencies Through Art

Video 1: Identifying People-Pleasing Patterns

What situations make you feel like you need to be someone else?

In this video, we dive into the subtle patterns of people-pleasing and how they can affect your sense of self. Through reflective painting and guided questions, explore when and why you prioritize others at your own expense, what situations make you feel like you need to be someone else, and how you react when your boundaries are crossed. Join this healing journey to reclaim your authentic self and set healthier boundaries through art.

10% of all proceeds from this painting will be donated to organizations supporting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, and trafficking. Your purchase will help others while bringing a piece of healing art into your home.

Video 2: Facing Criticism and Conflict

Where do you often compromise yourself to avoid conflict?

Conflict avoidance is a common habit for many of us, especially for those who struggle with people-pleasing. In this video, I’ll provide you with a series of questions to help identify emotional triggers that make us avoid criticism and conflict. As we create together, you’ll learn ways to honor your truth without feeling the need to compromise.

Video 3: The Struggle to Say No

What emotions surface when you think about saying “no”?

For many, saying “no” is one of the hardest things to do. This final video of the week will explore the internal conflict that arises when setting boundaries and how to shift those feelings into self-compassion. Through painting, I’ll provide a series of questions to help you embrace the power of “no” as a form of self-love and self-care.

What to Expect from These Videos

Each of these videos is designed to help you pause, reflect, and begin the process of healing people-pleasing through art. Whether you’re painting along or simply watching, the goal is to give you space to reflect on your emotions and the ways they influence your behavior in relationships.

People-pleasing often stems from a deep desire for validation and acceptance. By gently exploring these behaviors, my hope is that you’ll start to recognize where you’ve been neglecting your own needs and how to begin honoring yourself. The act of creating art allows these feelings to surface in a safe and non-judgmental way.
