Kathrine Switzer is an American marathon runner, author, and television commentator. In 1967, she became the first woman to run the Boston Marathon as an officially registered competitor. During the race she was repeatedly assulted to try and prevent her from competing.

Abstract fluid painting created with layers of alcohol ink and *extra* metallic shimmer – life is better when you add a little sparkle.

The entire Fiercely Feminine Collection embodies strength and confidence. Soft pastel colors accented with bold intense colors tells the complex and beautiful story of each female hero. Each piece represents a woman in history with a story- a story of courage, strength, and determination.
