Getting started with alcohol ink- The essentials
Updated: Nov 21, 2020
Thanks for stopping by my website! I thought, given the current global situation, it might be helpful to do a quick post on how to get started with alcohol ink.
Not too long ago, I was one big ball of stress, and I was looking for something to help unwind and de-stress when I stumbled across alcohol ink. Alcohol ink is a great way to de-stress, although it can be a little expensive to get started, but the ink lasts for a really long time. Listed below are what I consider to be the essentials to get started. All of the links below are affiliate links.
Piñata alcohol ink (this set has ink plus gold metallic) or you can purchase Ranger Inks in sets of three for a reasonable price at many craft stores like Micheals and Joann. I also really love TREX inks
Isopropyl alcohol (I prefer 92%) if you can't get a hold of this because of people making hand sanitizer you can also buy a blending solution
Synthetic paper- Yupo paper
Squeeze bottle (for isopropyl alcohol)
Mask and rubber gloves (if possible)
I've posted some mini videos in previous posts and also on Instagram that might help with getting started. I keep trying to build up my posts, so keep coming back for more.
